2019 cross country course walks announced!

This year there will again be free cross country course walks for competitors and supporters at the 2019 Mitsubishi Motors Cup, there is no need to book simply turn up at the start box at the time below to enjoy some expert advice on tackling the championship courses!

About

Tom McEwen is a professional British event rider who was part of the gold medal winning team at the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games. Tom has finished in the top 10 at both the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials and at Burghley Horse Trials. Tom is also a Young Rider (2010 and 2011) and Pony (2007) European team gold medallist.

Until his retirement at the end of 2016 Yogi Breisner held the post of World Class Eventing Performance Manager for 17 years leading the British team to over 30 Championship medals. A highly-knowledgeable expert coach Yogi is a BE Accredited Master Coach and Fellow of the British Horse Society.

A passionate and enthusiastic British Eventing Accredited Master Coach, Eric Smiley has conducted clinics around the world from the continent of America to Dubai and South Africa to Denmark. In 1995 he took the Fellowship of the British Horse Society examination – the highest teaching qualification in the world – and was Team Coach to the Belgian eventing team for the London Olympics 2012 and the European Championships 2011.

Mary King first won the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials in 1992 on King William and took the coveted trophy again in 2000 riding Star Appeal. Mary has represented Great Britain in six Olympic Games; 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012, winning team silver in 2004, team bronze in 2008 and team silver in 2012. She has also taken six team gold medals, and two individual (silver and bronze) at World and European Championships throughout her career. Mary is a Mitsubishi Motors ambassador and her daughter Emily, who also competes at international level, is an ambassador for the Mitsubishi Motors Cup.
